Your biochar from our woods.

All our biochar comes from our family-run woods in the Devon countryside and supports the regeneration of ancient woodland.

Close-up of charred wood, with some pieces showing a burnt and cracked surface.

Black is the new green.

Biochar is known to improve soil structure, nutrient-retention and water balance; reduce fertiliser wastage and run-off; prevent damage from extreme temperatures; provide the perfect environment for the essential mycorrhizal (fungal wood-wide-web) network and important microbes.

Then, it pays all that forward for centuries by preventing carbon from being released back into the atmosphere. Biochar is the carbon captured and stored.

By putting it back in the Earth as a soil enhancer, you sequester it into the land where it can preserve and benefit Life for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
